SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY!
CEPI has set up 3 scholarships for teachers and administrator in the Virginia K-12 public school system. The objective of the scholarships is to promote awareness, knowledge and discussion of current legal issues facing schools in Virginia. Each scholar-ship is worth $500 and must be used towards conference registration fees and other conference-related expenses. After the conference, winners will be required to write a 500 word report describing the benefits and applicability of the conference presentations to their role as teachers or administrators in Virginia. The reports will be due to CEPI no later than May 30, 2008.
APPLICATION PROCESS:
To be eligible for a scholarship, you must be a teacher or administrator in the Virginia K-12 public school system. To apply for a scholarship, visit www.cepionline.org and click on “6th Commonwealth Education Law Conference Scholarships.” Please read all the information carefully prior to filling out the registration form. Please complete the entire application and don’t forget to hit “Submit”. The deadline to submit applications is 5PM EST on March 7, 2008.
CONDITIONS
Applications must be received by 5 PM EST on March 7, 2008 in order to be considered for the scholarship. Winners will be selected
randomly in a drawing by CEPI, and notified by mail no later than March 14, 2008. Limit one application per person. Attendees of the 1st,
2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th Annual conferences are not eligible to apply. Only those applications submitted online will be accepted. Registration
implies complete acceptance of the terms and conditions. Scholarship funds will be payable to the winners’ schools and earmarked for use towards conference expenses such as registration fees, hotel, meals and travel. Any remaining funds may only be used towards other teacher training programs. Use of scholarships funds in a manner other than described here-in is strictly prohibited.
