Conference Lodging

The OMNI Richmond Hotel is the site for conference lodging. Overlooking the scenic James River, the OMNI Richmond Hotel ( 100 South 12th Street, Richmond, VA 23210) is located at the James Center in the heart of  Richmond’ financial district, only 8 miles from the airport.  Shockoe Slip, Richmond’s historic restaurant and shopping district, is just outside the front door where boutiques, restaurants, pubs, and galleries line cobblestone streets.  The OMNI is within walking distance of the State Capitol, Governor’s Mansion, the Carpenter Center for the Performing Arts, and the Canal Walk.

Rates for the conference are $139 per night/ single or double occupancy, plus prevailing taxes.  Check –in time is 3:00 PM. Check-out time is 12:00 PM.  All reservations must be guaranteed by a valid major credit card, which will be supplied at the time of reservation.  Reservations may be made by calling the hotel directly @ 1-804-344-7000 and referring to the “Commonwealth Education Law Conference”or by calling Central Reservations @ 1-800-THE-OMNI.  Early reservations are strongly recommended.

The cut-off date for accepting reservations at this rate is Sunday, March 23, 2008.  Reservation requests received after 5:00 PM local time at the hotel on the cut-off date will be accepted on a space and rate availability basis. Cancellations will be accepted prior to 12 noon local hotel time, on the day of arrival.  If the reservation is no longer required and is not cancelled prior to this time, the reservation will be released and subsequent room and tax charges for one night will be billed to the credit card on file.
